Article Six
Violence is the ultimate Authority from which all other authority is derived and only ever determines who is left. To prevent tyranny¹ twelve Adults shall empower a Citizen²: a thirteenth Adult, aged thirty-five years or older, who takes up violence and authority. Let them wield this burden well. Let them consult, as possible, a Way Seer³ when forced to apply lethal violence. Bless their heart and guard their soul, no king goes to heaven and Authority takes a toll. They are held liable for the actions of that individual should such be determined to cause harm outside the scope of the authority granted, in excess of that required for rebalance, or should the grant of authority be determined by a jury of interdependent adults to have been conducted under false pretenses or for the purpose of deriving benefit from the ensuing harm.
Central tension
The article names violence so it cannot hide inside polite institutions. The danger is that naming it can glorify it. This page reads the article as a constraint on authority, not a celebration of force.

If authority feels like appetite, step back. If it feels like duty under witness, proceed slowly and accountably.

Article Six insists that authority must be understood at its hardest edge: consequence. Authority is not made clean by uniforms, offices, or language.
A circle applying this article should never leave authority implicit. It should name who is empowered, by whom, for what scope, under what review, and by what process they step down.
The Citizen is not a superior person. The Citizen is the person burdened with decision when paralysis would destroy the group. That burden requires sanity checks, humor, witnesses, and limits.

Article Six says violence is the ultimate authority from which other authority is derived. That is not a celebration. It is a warning.
Every rule, office, command, and enforcement system eventually depends on consequence. If we pretend otherwise, coercion hides behind paperwork.
So the Way asks twelve adults to empower a thirteenth: a Citizen, someone old enough and politically adult enough to carry authority under witness. But the footnotes keep the burden visible. Judgment remains a duty where consequence persists. Authority takes a toll. Someone who cannot laugh should step down.
In crisis, the Wayseer is not the person with the grandest title. It is the one who breaks paralysis and makes space for action. Authority should never be appetite. It should be burden, witnessed and limited.

Collective political power is not reducible to violence: nonviolent campaigns have often achieved political goals by widening participation, gaining legitimacy, and inducing loyalty shifts.
Study result: A comparative campaign study reported greater success for nonviolent than violent campaigns in its dataset and analyzed participation and loyalty-shift mechanisms.
